  Yes — Prowl is completely free to use. Every feature, including moderation, AI tools, music playback, leveling, verification, AutoMod, automation, tickets, global chat, and the autoresponder, is available at no cost. Prowl is currently in **early preview**, which means you may encounter occasional rough edges as the team continues to build and refine the product.

<Accordion title="Why does Prowl need Administrator permission?">
  Prowl requests the Administrator permission because many of its features — such as AutoMod, moderation actions, ticket channel creation, and role assignment during verification — require a broad set of individual permissions that would be cumbersome to list individually. If your security policy prevents granting Administrator, you can manually assign the specific permissions Prowl needs for each module you plan to use. A breakdown of minimum required permissions per module is available in the dashboard under **Settings → Permissions**.

<Accordion title="Can I restrict Prowl commands to certain roles?">
  Yes. You can use Discord's built-in slash-command permission system to restrict Prowl commands. Go to **Server Settings → Integrations → Prowl** in Discord, and you can add role or channel overrides for any command. Additionally, Prowl's moderation commands are restricted to members with the `Moderate Members` permission, `Administrator` permission, or a configured mod role in the dashboard.

<Accordion title="How do I invite Prowl to my server?">
  Head to [prowlbot.xyz](https://prowlbot.xyz) and click **Add to Discord**. You'll be redirected to Discord's standard bot authorization page. Select the server you want to add Prowl to, review the requested permissions, and click **Authorize**. You need the **Manage Server** permission in that Discord server to complete the invite. Once authorized, Prowl will join your server and you can begin configuring it from the dashboard.

<Accordion title="Why isn't Prowl responding to my commands?">
  There are several common reasons Prowl might not respond:

  * **The bot is offline.** Check the [Prowl status page](https://status.prowlbot.xyz) to see if there's an active incident.
  * **Missing permissions.** Prowl needs permission to **View Channel**, **Send Messages**, and **Use Application Commands** in the channel where you're running commands.
  * **Commands are restricted.** A server admin may have limited the command to specific roles or channels. Check your server's command settings in the dashboard.
  * **The bot was recently added.** Discord can take a minute or two to register slash commands globally after a fresh invite. Try waiting a moment and then refreshing Discord.

  The best place to report bugs and suggest features is the [Prowl Discord server](https://discord.gg/KnRxYDP7zB). Once you join, look for the **#bug-reports** and **#feature-requests** channels. When reporting a bug, include your server ID, a description of what you expected to happen, what actually happened, and any relevant screenshots or error messages. Detailed reports help the team reproduce and fix issues much faster.

  Not yet — Prowl is currently available on Discord only. Nerimity support is planned for a future release. All current documentation applies to Discord only.

<Accordion title="How do I remove Prowl from my server?">
  To remove Prowl, go to your **Discord Server Settings → Integrations → Bots and Apps**, find Prowl, and click **Remove**. This immediately kicks the bot and revokes its permissions. Your server's configuration data stored in Prowl's dashboard will be retained for a grace period in case you re-add the bot, but it will eventually be purged. If you'd like your data deleted immediately, open a request in the [support server](https://discord.gg/KnRxYDP7zB).

<Accordion title="Is my server data private?">
  Prowl collects only the data necessary to operate its features — such as message counts for leveling, moderation logs, and configuration settings you explicitly provide. This data is not sold to third parties. Because Prowl is in early preview, the full privacy policy is still being finalized. <Accordion title="Why is an AI feature not working?">
  Prowl's AI features depend on third-party model providers. If an AI command returns an error or no response at all, the most likely causes are:

  * **High demand or provider outage.** Check the [status page](https://status.prowlbot.xyz) for any reported AI service degradation.
  * **The feature is disabled for your server.** An admin may have turned off AI in the dashboard under **Modules → AI**.
  * **Input was flagged by content filters.** Certain prompts may be blocked by the underlying model's safety systems.
